Donald Trump has pledged to sign a "record" number of executive orders immediately after his inauguration this Monday in Washington, D.C. In a phone interview with NBC News, Trump, who will be the 47th president of the United States, did not specify an exact number but expects to sign a record-setting number of orders by Monday afternoon.

When asked by an NBC News journalist if the number would exceed one hundred, the Republican president responded, "At least around that range." Trump has consistently vowed during his campaign and since his election to roll back policies implemented by Joe Biden's administration.

Furthermore, Trump mentioned in one of his campaign rallies that "as soon as I swear in, I will initiate the largest deportation program in America's history."

On Saturday, Trump confirmed that the removal of approximately 11 million undocumented immigrants in the United States would "start very soon," without specifying which cities would be targeted, noting that "things change," though a future administration official hinted at Chicago among other locations.

Additionally, due to extreme cold predicted for the capital on Monday, Trump announced on Friday that his inauguration ceremony would not take place outside the Capitol as traditionally done but inside for the first time in 40 years, citing safety concerns due to the severe weather expected.

Trump arrived in Washington D.C. last Saturday evening to attend his inauguration, marking his second term as president amid unprecedented low temperatures.
