US President-elect Donald Trump pledged, during his meeting with Republicans in the US Senate, to reduce taxes and close his country's borders to illegal immigration.
In statements reported by the American Al-Hurra channel on Thursday, the US President-elect described his meeting with Republicans as “wonderful,” reiterating his emphasis on reducing taxes and closing borders.
According to the channel, the meeting has not yet reached an agreement on Trump’s legislative agenda.
Trump said: “There is great unity... We will accomplish something that will reduce taxes and create many jobs.”
