US President Donald Trump arrived at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., to attend the draw ceremony for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico with the participation of 48 teams for the first time in history.
The US First Lady Melania Trump, the President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum, and Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Trump arrived moments ago at the draw venue and posed for photos with Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA.
The White House had announced earlier that President Donald Trump would attend the draw for the 2026 World Cup finals.
The ceremony featured a spectacular show blending football and art, hosted by international supermodel Heidi Klum, along with American comedian Kevin Hart, ahead of the tournament launch.
Italian opera star Andrea Bocelli, American singer Nicole Scherzinger, and British singer Robbie Williams will perform during the draw ceremony with special musical acts.
The 2026 World Cup itself will be held from June 11 to July 19.
The draw ceremony is broadcast globally months ahead of the expanded tournament, which will feature 48 nations for the first time.
During the event, each national team will discover its group-stage opponents for the summer of 2026, with matches taking place across stadiums in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
