US President Donald Trump convened a high-level White House meeting on Wednesday to discuss postwar plans for Gaza, though no concrete outcomes were disclosed following the talks.

The discussions come as Washington intensifies diplomatic engagement over the conflict. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio separately met Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar in Washington, signaling closer coordination between the two allies.

On the ground, Israel has expanded its military offensive in Gaza City, warning that large-scale population displacement from the enclave’s most populous urban center is now inevitable.

Meanwhile, German Development Minister Reem Alabali Radovan, who is touring Israel and the wider Middle East, was forced to seek shelter after Yemen’s Houthi rebels launched a missile at Israel on Wednesday morning. The attack, part of an escalating confrontation between the Iran-backed group and Israel, highlights the growing volatility across the region.

The White House meeting underscores mounting international concern over Gaza’s postwar future, as diplomatic, military, and humanitarian pressures converge.
