U.S. President Donald Trump sent a congratulatory telegram to president Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the 67th anniversary of July 23rd Revolution.

He extended Egyptians his wishes for a productive and prosperous future.

President Trump`s telegram came as follows:

Dear Mr. President:

On behalf of the American people, I send our most sincere greetings and congratulations on this anniversary of your national day, July 23.

For decades, the United States and Egypt have enjoyed a strong partnership, rooted in our shared hope for a more peaceful, secure, and successful region.  The United States values our close cooperation on counterterrorism and security, and seeks to deepen our partnership on inclusive economic growth and greater educational and cultural ties.

I extend Egyptians my warmest wishes for a productive and prosperous future.  We look forward to continued engagement, deepened friendship, and expanded cooperation in the coming year.

Sincerely,

Donald J. Trump

Noteworthy, Annual celebrations marking the Revolution begin on the preceding evening، as the evening of 22 July 1952 was when the Free Officers Movement led by Muhammad Naguib and Gamal Abdel Nasser commenced the Revolution، and ultimately led to the abdication of King Farouk (the penultimate King of Egypt and Sudan).

It is noteworthy that President Sisi attended yesterday the graduation ceremony of military academies’ cadets at the headquarters of the Egyptian Military Academy in Cairo.
