A judge in New York has imposed a fine of $10,000 on Former US President Donald Trump for violating a restraining order for the second time in less than a week.

Judge Arthur Engoron ruled that Trump had once again attacked his chief writer, while Trump insisted he was targeting his adversary, Michael Cohen, who is testifying against him in a fraud case involving the management of Trump's real estate assets.

The judgment stated that Trump lacked credibility and he was fined $10,000.

Engoron had previously ordered all participants in the trial not to publicly comment on his staff members as of October 3, following a social media post by Trump that he deemed insulting to a court employee.

Last Friday, the judge had already imposed an initial fine of $5,000 on Trump for a post that was considered disrespectful to a court employee.
