The x-rays that the Egyptian star, Mahmoud Trezeguet, the Turkish Trabzon player, underwent, showed that he suffered a strain in the posterior muscle, as a result of which he will be absent for one week.
The Football Association revealed the nature of the injury, saying, “The x-rays that our Egyptian star, Mahmoud Trezeguet, the Turkish Trabzon player, underwent, showed that he suffered a strain in the posterior muscle, as a result of which he will be absent for one week.”
Trabzonspor Club published an official statement in which it conveyed the statements of Ahmed Bashir, head of the first team’s medical staff, during which he confirmed Trezeguet’s injury.
The statement said, “The result of the examination and magnetic resonance imaging of our player Mahmoud Trezeguet, who felt pain during the match that our football team played against Sivasspor, and was taken out at halftime, with an injury to the left side of the hamstring.”
The Trabzonspor doctor also confirmed that Trezeguet has begun his treatment program, in order to recover and return to participating with his team in matches normally.
Trezeguet suffered the injury while participating with Trabzonspor against Sivasspor, yesterday, Saturday, in the 32nd round of the Turkish League Championship.
Trezeguet was unable to complete the match between Trabzonspor and Sivasspor, as he left the field at halftime, during the confrontation, which his team lost with a clean goal.
