Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Issa, received, in his office at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, Ambassador Mohamed Ben Youssef, the Ambassador of Tunisia in Cairo, to discuss aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and mechanisms to push more tourist traffic from Tunisia to Egypt.
During the meeting, the distinguished and historical relations between Egypt and Tunisia were emphasized, and mechanisms for enhancing joint cooperation in the field of intra-tourism between the two countries were discussed, which contributes to increasing the rates of this movement, in addition to driving more numbers of Tunisian tourists to visit the Egyptian tourist destination.
The meeting also discussed ways of cooperation to promote tourist destinations in Egypt and Tunisia by organizing joint promotional campaigns between the two countries.
During the meeting, Ambassador Mohammed Ben Youssef handed over to the Minister the invitation of the Tunisian Minister of Tourism to visit the State of Tunisia to hold a number of bilateral meetings and discuss investment opportunities and establish various partnerships in the field of tourism between the two countries.
