Art industry is forever growing and Egyptian artists are constantly looking for outlets to have their work shown.

1. Picasso Gallery

This gallery is located in 30 Hassen Assel Street, Zamalek; it hosts an interesting collection of contemporary art pieces and the home of a large number of exciting, and regular exhibitions covering all aspects of life.

Visitors can expect a series of Egypt-focused exhibitions looking at contemporary artists from the country.

2. El-Masar Gallery

El-Masar Gallery is located in 26 July Street, Ground Floor, Zamalek. It opened in 2008.

This stylish venue showcases the work of renowned Egyptian artists, the stars of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation of the 20th century Egyptian Art Movement.

The gallery displays works by prominent artists such as; Kareem El Qurity and Sami aboul Azm.

3. Karim Francis Gallery

Karim Francis Gallery helped to establish Cairo’s first independent arts festival known as "El-Nitaq".

The event encapsulates cultural scene of the city and brings art to the streets of the downtown area, taking it to cafes, restaurants, lanes, shops and office lobbies.

The gallery was founded in 1995 and helped increase the rate and awareness of contemporary art; it is located in 1 El- Sherifein Street, right off Qasr El- Nil Street.

4. Darb 1718 Gallery

Darb Gallery is non-profit organisation since 2008. It's Contemporary Art and Culture Centre has indoor and outdoor areas that can hold different art displays and cultural events.

Visitors can enjoy a number of exhibitions, concerts, festivals and events from national and international artists.

"Darb 1718", is located in Kasr El Sham St, El Fakhareen, Old Cairo.

5. Townhouse Gallery

Townhouse Gallery is located in 10 Champollion Street, Downtown Cairo. It was established in 1998.

The gallery was the first independent art space in the country, it's goal was to bring contemporary art to the general populace while encouraging creativity among new and existing artists.

The gallery works to forge strong relationships both nationally and internationally to build greater levels of creativity and an appreciation, growth and understanding of contemporary art in Egypt and the Middle East.
