Alexandria is one of the best places to live in the Mediterranean because of its marvelous weather, cheap cost of living, and beachy lifestyle.

The so-called "Mediterranean Bride" has one of the oldest historical centers in the Mideal East, dating back to Greek times. Quaint architecture makes up the city center, filled with domestic bazaars and greek-rooted cafes, restaurants, and specialty stores. Sitting on the Mediterranean, this beautiful city is blessed with a beach a quick 15-minute bus from the train station.

Winters in Alexandria are very mild, while the summers are long and hot. Sunny, pleasant weather prevails for about eight months of the year.

The Alexandria Coast is a Seventy-kilometer-long section of the Egyptian coastline stretching between the north-western side of the Nile delta (Town El-Dekhila) to Mariout Lake (Town Abu-Qir) in the east.

It is backed by an undulating sandy escarpment with marvelous cliffs and intercut by deep valleys terminating in bays lined with fishing villages. It is, according to UNESCO, an outstanding example of a Mediterranean landscape.

There are several districts along the Alexandria Coast you really should see while you are there. Alexandria is a maze of massive streets and has a fascinating citadel called "Qaitbay". 

Roman theater in Alexandria

This place will leave you completely in awe. Roman theater in Alexandria, also known as Alexandria Theatron in Ancient Greece, is an ancient site with gigantic columns dedicated to the old roman caesars of Roma.

The Roman theater of Alexandria is one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman theaters. It was the Roman Empire’s biggest theater in Africa at that time, of which only several columns and a colossal base remain.

Smaller than the theater, the Sawary site, also known as Pompey's Pillar is the second attraction of the site. Together they form an extremely impressive archaeological ensemble that would make the cities of Athens and Rome blush

Alexandria Library

Alexandria Library, which has a renowned and creative imposing cylindrical structure, is not only one of the largest and most technologically advanced libraries in Egypt and the middle east, but also one of the largest and most famous libraries in the world.

The marvelous library houses more than 4 million volumes of books and can be expanded up to 8 million by the use of compact storage.

In addition to this, the library has also become a popular cultural venue in Africa and the Arab world thanks to a massive auditorium with a seating capacity for more than 10000 visitors and 300 study cells that can seat 2.500 people.

El-Montazh

El-Montazh is a cliffside district with impressive sea views, an iconic Palace dating to the Khepe Ismail era, and extensive Royal gardens.

Alanfoushi

Alanfoushi is the iconic town that gives its name to the entire coastline. Its most prominent feature is the Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque domes and minarets which tower over the town and beach.

Qaitbay Citadel

The Qaitbay Citadel in Alexandria is regarded as one of the most historical defensive strongholds, not only in Egypt, but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast. It formulated an important part of the fortification system of Alexandria in the 15th century AD.

The Citadel is located at the entrance of the eastern harbour on the eastern point of the Pharos Island. It was erected on the exact site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
