Tokyo Olympics: Egypt's Issa Claims 2nd Bronze Medal for Egypt

Egyptian Taekwondo fighter Seif Issa claimed Egypt's second bronze medal after defeating Andre Richard 12-4 in the -81kg in Tokyo Olympics 2020.

The Egyptian fighter qualified for the last four after defeating Simone Alessio of Italy 6-5, before suffering a 1-13 defeat to Russian champion Maxim Khramtkov.

The Egyptian star, who ranked 5th in the world rankings, is Taekwondo practitioner. He won a bronze medal at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, held in Nanjing, China.

In 2020, he competed in the men's 80 kg event at the 2020 African Taekwondo Olympic Qualification Tournament in Rabat, Morocco and he qualified to represent Egypt at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
