The Times UK reported that France does not take sides with the Northern and Eastern Europe's countries regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war.

France believes that besides the “humiliation” that Moscow has suffered since the 1990s, the US-led NATO provocations are what derived Russian President Vladimir Putin to conduct the special military operation in Ukraine, according to the report.

The article also cited Hélène Carrère d'Encausse, Permanent Secretary of the French Academy, who claimed that the current crisis developed as a result of the humiliation suffered by the Russians after the collapse of the Soviet Union, as no one helped the country to overcome its serious problems.

In the same vein, it highlighted the words of French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine who stressed that the arrogant Western allies are responsible for what is happening in Ukraine right now.

In addition to France, North Korea has previously slammed U.S. President Joe Biden, calling him an “old man in his senility” after he accused Putin of war crimes in Ukraine.

“The latest story is the US chief executive who spoke ill of the Russian president with groundless data,” said a commentary carried by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). “Such reckless remarks can be made only by the descendants of Yankees, master hand at aggression and plot-breeding.”
