TikTok's parent company, ByteDance announced on Thursday the launch of AI-powered video creation platform to help advertisers on the social media platform market their brands.
The new platform from TikTok will be called Symphony Creative Studios, in line with the company’s plan announced earlier in 2024, which includes launching a number of AI-related products.
The social media platform unveiled a new creative content group called Symphony in May to help businesses, creators and agencies create high-quality, engaging content tailored to their brands.
The company said it will use generative AI to curate viral and safe content for any brand, expanding its selection of moments or events such as the Paris Olympics and the Met Gala; and allowing advertisers to buy airtime for their ads through specific networks and content offerings.
The new Symphony Creative platform, which also includes a virtual assistant, will help users automate tasks to create content for the core TikTok app.
The company said it will offer features such as converting text inputs to videos, remixing clips, creating digital avatars, and assisting with translation, among other features that can be used in TikTok videos.
TikTok is the latest tech company to integrate AI-generated features into its advertising business, in a bid to attract more brands and marketers.
