Manakish is a Lebanese meal that can be served on Sohour table away from the traditional plates.
It’s light, tasty, easy and most likely to be served with yogurt or salad. Check the recipe
500 gm flour
½ tsp sugar
2 tsp yeast
½ tsp salt
300 ml warm water
1 cup powdered thyme mixed with sesame seeds
½ cup olive oil
In a bowl, add the flour, sugar, yeast and salt then mix all dry components well.
Make a hole in the middle of the mixture then add the warm water gradually and start kneading the dough for minimum 10 minutes.
Shape the dough in form of large ball and grease it with some olive oil, then cover and set aside in a warm place for 1 hour.
Now, roll the dough in round shape and then add a mixture of olive oil, thyme and sesame on its surface.
put the dough in an oven tray and set in a preheated oven to 200 degrees for 15 minutes.
