I proudly followed up President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s speech at the 28th session of the Climate Conference in Dubai. This summit comes after the success of the Sharm El-Sheikh summit in reiterating the commitment of the countries causing the climate crisis to pay what the parties pledged to reduce the damages resulting from climate anger, drought, floods, hurricanes, famines, displacement, migrations and wars.

The Sharm El Sheikh Summit succeeded in pledging to pay the annual $100 billion, which our Foreign Minister clearly insisted on on the first day of this session. The President’s speech on the second day was concise, decisive, and a warning bell for those concerned about climate change. The President said: "Our conference today is being held amid serious political and international challenges that are no less important than the repercussions of climate change... which push us, as political leaders, to work sincerely to ensure that this conference produces ambitious results and accelerate implementation of previous pledges. The President reminded the attendees of what we were keen to achieve in Sharm El Sheikh to “launched several paths that contribute to achieving our aspirations in this regard", among them is the establishment of a financing fund for developing countries to confront climate losses and damages, and an action program to reduce emissions. We hope that some of the promises of the countries that caused pollution and climate change will be fulfilled to ensure that the Dubai conference produces historic results that confirm to all the peoples of the world that we are determined, and even able to save and protect the  Earth planet. President Sisi stressed the necessity of “formulating a joint vision... after this summit that includes agreed-upon recommendations on developing all elements of the system.

I believe that achieving these goals is possible... if we work together amid a spirit of cooperation and participation. This is happening at a time when Egyptians expats are gathering in front of the ballot boxes to cast their votes, and all people are speaking with pride and satisfaction about the achievements made by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi over the past years, as he saved Egypt from destruction, turned it into the new republic, supported our brothers in Palestine and impose a truce to bring in humanitarian aid, amid the world’s respect for the vision of Egypt and its leader.
