Following the explosion that destroyed Beirut's port on August 4. The Lebanese artist, Maya Diab, posted on her personal account on "Twitter" a tweet in which she appealed to Mohammed bin Salman to intervene to save Lebanon.

The Lebanese artist commented on the tragic explosion of the port in a previous tweet on her Twitter account, saying: “There is only one person who rules the country in the dark and he kept on doing that till he got us all with the country to fatal destiny, the country of dogs and talking animals, a state! why it's a state in the first place, crying is not enough. We want him dead, just dead."

Maya sparked a wave of mixed reactions on social media, with some asserting that the matter is an internal matter and there should be no external interference, while others supported her appeal, referring to the "corruption" that affected the country.

Among supporters and oppositionists to Maya Diab's tweet, everyone agreed that what happened was a tragedy and expressed their solidarity with the families of the victims of the explosion and with Lebanon.
