A few minutes ago, the legendary tag team The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy) won the TNA World Tag Team title to be the new champions of the promotion.

During the main event of 2024 Bound for Glory, team extreme climbed the ladders, and captured the titles to be the new champions, defeating The System, and ABC in a 3-Way Full Metal Mayhem match.

The Full Metal Mayhem is TNA’s equivalent to WWE’s TLC match; the stipulation which is defined and mastered by the Hardys, especially during their 1990s run in the WWE Attitude Era, and their historical feuds with The Dudly Boys, and Edge and Cristian.

This is the first major tag team title win for the brothers in more than five years as their last championship victory was in 2019 when they defeated The Usos to win the WWE SmackDown Tag Team titles, before relinquishing them after three weeks due to the younger Hardy's knee injury.

Tonight's title win is also the first for the Hardys in TNA since 2016.

Moreover, tonight's Full Metal Mayhem match was the first in TNA in more than eight years, and it witnessed the sixth appearance of Jeff Hardy in such match to be the most TNA superstar who participated in Full Metal Mayhem matches in the history of the promotion that spans for more than 20 years.
