He added: The Prophet (PBUH) advised men to choose their wives on the basis of religiosity and morals. When this is coupled with beauty or wealth, then that is a blessing from Allah, but in the absence of such features, religion alone suffices. Likewise, beauty should not be the only factor that drives a man to marry a woman.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam, added: The Prophet (peace be upon him) warned of the danger of marrying a woman solely for her wealth due to the serious consequences that may arise from such a decision
Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam, says: The Prophet (PBUH) advised to seek a spouse who possesses religious qualities, as beauty and wealth are short-lived and can become a cause of familial misery and destruction. Likewise, a religiously qualified spouse is essential for the well-being of the family.
