The opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) stands as a historical event considered the greatest in the modern millennium, adding to the record of achievements of the New Republic and serving as a cultural and touristic beacon that represents a turning point in the trajectory of Egypt's tourism industry, said Counselor Sameh Abdel Hakam, Head of the Criminal and State Security Court.
Abdel Hakam affirmed that the museum represents one of the most prominent national and civilizational projects adopted by the state under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the builder of modern Egypt, to be an exceptional global edifice presented by Egypt as a gift to humanity and the whole world, embodying the greatness of the Egyptian civilization.
He added that Egypt will always remain the possessor of the oldest civilization known to human history, with roots extending back more than seven thousand years. Possessing nearly a third of the world's antiquities scattered throughout its various regions, Egypt is a source of inspiration for all the peoples of the world.
