Medical sources announced on Monday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 70,365 martyrs, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023.
The sources explained, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), that the number of injuries has risen to 171,058 since the start of the offensive, while a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue teams.
They indicated that five martyrs (three new deaths and two whose bodies were recovered) and 11 wounded arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals in the past 24 hours. The total number of martyrs and wounded since the ceasefire agreement on October 11 has reached 376 martyrs, 981 wounded, and 626 bodies have been recovered.
