Throughout history, various individuals and organizations have made significant contributions to promote education in Egypt. Cairo university may be the most prominent historical icon of the effectiveness of charity and voluntary work in enhancing education.

This is where voluntary work plays a crucial role in bridging the gap and providing educational opportunities to the community. Recently, Egypt started working towards the 2030 goal of achieving its latest education reform plan known as the National Education Project or “Education 2.0”. More attention and efforts have been directed to reform the educational system from different dimensions.

However, there are challenges and limitations that needed to be addressed to achieve this ambitious program. One of the main challenges is the lack of sustainable funding for educational programs to fulfill the future reforms.

One potential solution is to strengthen partnerships between non-governmental organizations, government agencies, and the private sector. By working together towards a common goal to create more effective and sustainable educational programs.

Non-governmental organizations are non- profit ones that operate in community service sectors such as health and education. In the context of international relations, strategic partnerships between governmental and non-governmental organizations play a crucial role in solving many educational issues. One of the key figures in the field of public voluntary work in promoting education in Egypt is American Center in Cairo (ACC) exemplifies how educational initiatives can converge to foster growth and development in education.

The American Center in Egypt, based in Cairo, is part of the U.S. Embassy’s efforts to promote cultural exchange and educational programs. One of the main contributions is the Regional English Language Office (RELO) Egypt. The main purpose of RELO is to enhance English language teaching and learning in various regions around Egypt. Regarding the increasing importance of English proficiency as critical skill for students and professionals alike, RELO plays a pivotal role in improving English language education, which is essential for individual `s professional development.

RELO Egypt focuses on several key areas: teacher training, curriculum development, and educational resources. Through workshops, seminars, and ongoing professional development programs, RELO provides educators with the tools and techniques necessary to deliver high-quality English instruction. This support is related to emerging trainees in social services and voluntary work to transfer their acquired knowledge to the small community around them.

Furthermore, RELO's efforts contribute to fostering teacher training. These contributions are not presented in Cairo only but all over north and south Egypt to facilitate learning and ongoing professional development of the teachers. Moreover, the ACC is actively involved in various community and educational initiatives by organizing workshops, seminars, and training sessions for educators and students.

These programs often focus on improving teaching methods, educational technology, and professional development. The synergies between ACC and ministry of education and Al Azhar institution illustrate how governmental and non-governmental cooperation drive comprehensive development. This, in turn, is reflected in teachers’ attitude towards their duties in their community as they share in many voluntary contributions

to promote and develop their colleagues. By working together, building partnerships, and focusing on sustainability, the field of voluntary work in promoting education in Egypt has the potential to create lasting change and transform the lives of future generations.

Another important initiative of the American Center in Cairo is the Fulbright Program, which provides scholarships and grants to Egyptian students and scholars to study and conduct research in the United States. The Fulbright Program has been instrumental in promoting academic excellence.

Many Egyptian scholars who have participated in the Fulbright Program have gone on to make significant contributions to their fields and have become influential figures in academia and research.

In conclusion, the contribution of different non – governmental organizations in developing education can promote education and foster academic excellence in Egypt.
