Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to appoint Croatian coach Igor Tudor as interim manager following the dismissal of Thomas Frank.

The North London club confirmed earlier this week that Frank had been relieved of his duties due to a string of poor results.

According to The Athletic, Spurs have now decided to place Tudor in charge until the end of the current season.

Tottenham moved swiftly to secure a temporary replacement after parting ways with the Danish manager on Wednesday, ultimately selecting the former Juventus head coach.

Tudor left the Italian side approximately two months ago following a difficult run of results.

His first assignment is expected to be the highly anticipated North London derby against Arsenal next weekend.

Frank’s tenure at Tottenham lasted just eight months, with his final match ending in a 2–1 home defeat to Newcastle United.

The Danish coach departed after failing to secure a win in eight consecutive league matches and managing only two victories in his last 17 games.

The poor run of form left Spurs languishing in 16th place in the Premier League standings, just five points above the relegation zone.

Despite domestic struggles, the North London side secured automatic qualification to the Round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League after finishing fourth in the league phase.
