Thailand is ready to provide a negotiating venue for the Russian-Ukrainian direct talks, Thai Ambassador to Moscow Sasiwat Wongsinsawat told TASS on Saturday.
Wongsinsawat affirmed that Thailand is ready to provide a negotiating venue for all parties involved in the conflict to find a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian crisis.
Last May, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Thailand issued a joint statement, indicating that they are fully determined to work with all partners and interested parties to secure sustaining peace and stability based on regional and global efforts.
In previous remarks, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov asserted that President Vladimir Putin has been open to talks on Ukraine from the very beginning.
Peskov commented on Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s words that Putin is now allegedly "much softer and more open to dialogue than in the past".
"Putin, in fact, has been open to talks from the very beginning. The president has repeatedly said so himself," the Kremlin spokesman noted.
