Despite keeping silent about the price and specifications of its new light electric truck, 'Cybertruck', American company Tesla is set to launch it tomorrow, Thursday.
Tesla, known for its electric cars, is scheduled to hold a celebration at 20:00 GMT tomorrow to unveil the electric truck.
However, many key questions remain unanswered, such as the price of the truck, its range, general specifications, and who will receive the first batch.
Tesla first revealed a prototype of the Cybertruck in November 2019. The production of this futuristic truck began on a trial basis in July last year.
Tesla had announced in April that deliveries of the trucks to buyers were set to begin in September.
The truck is expected to be available in two range categories, with the first having a 400-kilometer range and the second 800 kilometers, according to the US Environmental Protection Agency's estimates.
The Cybertruck will be Tesla's first new passenger vehicle since the introduction of Model Y in early 2020.
At that time, Tesla announced that the truck would be priced at $39,000, but Elon Musk, founder and CEO of Tesla, expressed his desire for the base price to be under $50,000.
Although Tesla has not revealed the prices yet, Musk previously stated that they would be significantly higher than the initial estimates.
