Tesla Launches Latest Version in 2019 (Photo)

CAIRO, Mar .18. (SEE) – Tesla unveiled its latest vehicle on Thursday, he model Y crossover SUV. The vehicle blends the design language of both the Model 3 sedan and the Model X SUV, in an effort to streamline production.

The vehicle is also offered in the same configurations as the Model 3 Standard, Long Range RWD, Dual Motor AWD and Performance.

Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk, reported that  the company has produced about 550,000 cars to date and will hit a million in the next 12 months as well as he expects the Model ''Y'' to outsell the Model''S'' and ''X'' combined.

The cabin is dominated by a 15-inch touchscreen in the center console the rest of the layout is the same streamlined design we’ve grown accustomed to seeing from the California brand.

There’s optional seating for seven passengers, plus a panoramic glass roof up top between the front trunk and split-folding second row, the Model Y offers as much as 66 cubic feet of cargo room.

Also, tons of tech onboard, including smartphone operated entry and exit, remote lock and unlock, remote cabin pre-conditioning, and a Summon mode.

Tesla Model Y goes 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, while top speed clocks in at 150 mph. Musk also boasts the Y offers “sports car” handling thanks to the EV’s low center of gravity. The Standard trim will go 230 miles between plugs while higher trims offer as much as 300 miles per charge.
