Chelsea reaffirmed that young midfielder Cole Palmer is considered part of the club’s core, despite speculation linking him with a potential move to Manchester United next season, according to reports by The Telegraph.

Palmer, whose contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2033, is viewed by Chelsea management as a key part of a new generation of players the club does not intend to sell.

Coach Liam Roseinior confirmed that Palmer appears happy at the club and is expected to see out his contract.

“I spoke with Cole and he seems and is very happy to be here," he said, adding: “For sure Palmer is a huge part of our plans in the long-term. He’s feeling in a good place and joined training today”.

The Telegraph noted parallels with José Mourinho’s famous “untouchables” squad from 2006, which included stars like Frank Lampard, John Terry, Didier Drogba, and Petr Čech.

Chelsea’s current untouchable group reportedly also includes captain Reece James and midfielder Moses Caicedo.

While some reports suggested Palmer might consider leaving for personal reasons or to return to Manchester, the player has made no official statement.
