The nominees for the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards have been announced.
This year, many of the tracks and compositions that were expected to be in the running earned nominations, and most of the nominees are well-known stars.
Among the nominees are Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga. They will go head-to-head in the Best Original Song – Motion Picture category.
Swift was recognized for Where the Crawdads Sing’s “Carolina”; Rihanna got nominated for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's “Lift Me Up”; and Lady Gaga’s nomination for Top Gun: Maverick’s Hold My Hand.
The other nominees for Best Original Score –Motion Picture are: Carter Burwell (The Banshees of Inisherin), Alexandre Desplat (Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio), Hildur Gu∂nadóttir (Women Talking), Justin Hurwitz (Babylon), and John Williams (The Fabelmans).
The Golden Globes, hosted by Jerrod Carmichael, is set to air live from the Beverly Hilton on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock.
