American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift has become the first woman to earn the Global Icon prize at the BRITs Awards.
Swift is set to receive the award during Tuesday's awards show at London's O2 Arena, which marks the first major indoor music event to take place in the UK since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

She has been recognized for her immense impact on music across the world and incredible repertoire and achievements to date.
Swift has also been nominated in the international female solo artist category at this year's BRIT Awards, her sixth nomination to date.
This year's BRIT Awards nominations have seen women dominate the album category, with Dua Lipa, Arlo Parks, Celeste, and Jessie Ware all in the running against rapper J Hus.
About 4,000 inpiduals will attend the event as part of a pilot events scheme launched by the government, with no masks or social distancing necessary.
The ceremony will be live on ITV and the ITV Hub from 8 PM on Tuesday.
