The Taliban (an Afghani Islamist militant movement) threatens to take over Kabul (the capital city of Afghanistan) by force unless finding solutions for the suspended problems with the federal government that was recognized by the international community, by negotiating.

Zabiullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban told Sputnik, a Russian news agency, today Friday that his movement is able to take over Kabul easily and urgently if there is a need to that.

Mujahid's statement came on the backdrop of seizing 18 local capitals from 34 ones in the country.

The movement continues to achieve more progress in all directions across Afghanistan.

On the other hand, Jens Stoltenberg, General- Secretary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) warned that the international community won't recognize the Taliban as a legitimate authority in Afghanistan if it seizes power by force.

He expressed more concern at the rising rate of violence in the country as a result of clashes between the Taliban and the Afghani security forces loyal to President Ashraf Ghani.

Stoltenberg led today, Friday, a meeting of the members of the organization to discuss developments of the local situation in Afghanistan, saying that the Taliban must know that the international community won't recognize its authority it if takes over the country by force.

He stressed that NATO commits to finding a political solution for the conflict in Afghanistan, revealing that the organization's aim concentrates on providing more support to the Afghani government and its security forces to withstand attacks launched by the Taliban.

He affirmed that NATO is still communicating with the Afghani government and members of the international community and continues evaluating developments on the ground, pledging that the organization keeps its diplomatic presence in Kabul and modifies this presence in the light of the development of the political situation in Afghanistan.
