Today, Saturday, Syrian villagers prevented US soldiers from entering their villages and forced them to leave.

According to the Syrian Official News Agency (SANA), a US convoy tried to pass through the village of Salhia Harb in the Qamishli region in the eastern region of the country.

The agency added that the local villagers, with the support of members of the Syrian army, prevented the US troops from entering the area and forced them to leave.

It is noteworthy that US army armored vehicles and soldiers have intensified, during the past few days, attempts to storm the Syrian army’s military checkpoints and the villages under its control in eastern Syria, all of which failed as a result of the popular rejection and resistance.

Earlier, residents of the villages of Damkhiya, Abu Dhuil, Hamo, and al-Qusayr in the Qamishli area in the northern countryside of Hasaka, and the village of Mujibera and Umm al-Dhahab in the eastern and northern countryside of Al-Hasakah, confronted military armored vehicles of the American forces and forced them to retreat with the support of soldiers from the Syrian Arab Army, in the context of increasing the frequency of the categorical rejection of the presence of the occupation forces as the popular movement against it on Syrian territory has increased recently.

While Syrian field sources revealed to "Sputnik" agency, "The American occupation forces and the forces of the alleged "international coalition" are trying, through these irresponsible behaviors, to find legitimacy for their illegal presence by approaching the barriers of the Syrian Arab Army and the villages and towns under its control."
