Switzerland, Italy call on Citizens to Leave Addis Ababa Immediately

The Italian Foreign Ministry called on its citizens in Addis Ababa to leave immediately, and warned  its citizens not against traveling there, while the Swiss Foreign Ministry advised its citizens not to travel to Ethiopia for any reason, calling on its community to leave the country immediately, according to what was broadcast by Extra News Channel.

The forces of the Tigray Liberation Front continue to advance in the ongoing battles with the Ethiopian army, towards the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, at a time when the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed handing his duties to his deputy, Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen, amid a state of confusion and anxiety among citizens, expectations of the collapse of the Ethiopian regime and warnings and calls from various countries and urgent appeals to their nationals to leave the country.

Over the past few hours, Germany and France called on their nationals to  leave Ethiopian territory after a similar warning issued by the United States .
