Swerve Strickland will defend his AEW World title against the trending and newly-joined AEW roaster Will Ospreay in AEWXNJPW: Forbidden Door on June 30.
Ospreay won the Forbidden Door Casino Gauntlet match which main-evented AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite episode, aired on May 29 (ET time).
The match featured several AEW, NJPW, and CMLL superstars like Pac, Jay White, Shota Umino, Mistico, Claudio Castagnoli, Lio Rush, Hechicero, and Orange Cassidy.
Ospreay won his first AEW title last Sunday after defeating Rodrick Strong to capture the AEW International Championship.
