The Swedish Defense Ministry confirmed the dispatch of 8 self-propelled Archer howitzers to Ukraine.
On the occasion of Ukraine's Artillery Forces Day, Swedish Defence Minister Peter Hultqvist announced on "X" (formerly Twitter) this Saturday, the official handover of Swedish artillery pieces Archer to their new owner, the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Hultqvist highlighted that with a combination of speed, precision, and mobility, the Archer howitzers will "contribute to Ukraine's efforts in reclaiming its lost territories."
The delivery of Archer systems is part of Sweden's ongoing military aid to Ukraine, which has amounted to about two billion dollars since the inception of the Russian conflict.
