The Sudanese Ministry of Energy and Oil announced raising the prices of benzene and gasoline in the country, according to international fuel prices, amid a continued fighting between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces.

The ministry said, in a press statement, Sunday: “It is within the framework of the policy of the Ministry of Energy and Oil and the review of fuel prices according to the international prices of petroleum products. The price of a liter of gasoline is set at 630 pounds ($1.08) and the price of a liter of benzene is 590 pounds ($1.01), according to Omdurman National Bank prices.

The Sudanese Ministry added that the above prices do not include state fees and are a reference for all states.

It is noteworthy that the old fuel prices were 588 pounds per liter of benzene and 582 pounds per liter of gasoline.

This comes in light of the continuation of the war between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF since April 15, with the deterioration of economic conditions and the displacement of about 3 million Sudanese inside the country, according to the United Nations.
