NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg affirmed NATO's determination to continue to stand with Ukraine for 'as long as it takes.'
This came during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Lithuania.
"When Russian President Vladimir Putin launched the military operation in Ukraine last year, he underestimated the courage of the Ukrainian people and their forces and the determination of the Ukrainian political leadership, as well as the unity and strength of NATO," Stoltenberg said.
Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), said that there is an intention to expand the scope of military support that Ukraine receives, which will bring it closer to NATO membership.
In a press conference with Lithuanian president, Stoltenberg said the alliance will work to increase military aid to Ukraine, and will strengthen the deterrence system in the eastern part of the alliance territory.
