Last year, All Elite Wrestling started to promote Revolution 2024, which is the first AEW Pay-Per-View in the calendar, as the Icon Sting's Final Match.
The pro wrestling legend's image and representations of his all-career gimmicks were featured in the poster of the Pay-Per-View. In addition, the show's tickets were sold fast, with only 126 tickets left for the show that is taking place on Sunday.
On Friday, Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sting and Darby Allin against The Young Bucks in a tag team tornado match for the AEW Tag Team Championships will main event the show.
Sting and Allin captured the AEW World Tag Team titles after defeating Ricky Starks and Big Bill on February 7 to be immediately attacked by the Young Bucks who confronted Sting while announcing his retirement match news.

Last Wednesday in the AEW Dynamite episode, Sting made his final appearance as a wrestler in Dynamite shows where he paid homage to his final appearance at WCW's Nitro.

Other matches were advertised for the event, mainly a 3-Way Match for AEW World Champion between Samoa Joe (c), Adam Hangman Page, and Swereve Strickland, and a match for the AEW World Women's title between Toni Storm (c), and Deonna Purrazzo.
In addition, TNT Champion Christian Cage will defend his title against Danial Garcia, Eddie Kingston will defend his Triple Crown against Bryan Danielson, and a highly-anticipated tag team match between FTR, and Blackpool Combat Club's Jon Moxley, and Claudio Castagnoli.
