The film adaptation of Stephen King’s "The Boogeyman" is hitting digital platforms after its June theatrical release.

It will be available on digital on August 29 and on Blu-ray and DVD on October 10.

The physical release will contain bonus features including a new featurette entitled Into the Darkness. The featurette will see the movie cast and crew reveal the process behind bringing the tale to the big screen.

It will also feature an outtakes reel should you need something a little more light-hearted after the frightful feature.

The horror-thriller is based on a story featured in King’s 1978 horror anthology, "Night Shift".

Filmmaker Rob Savage directed the movie from a screenplay adapted by "A Quiet Place" scribes Scott Beck and Bryan Woods as well as Mark Heyman.

The movie stars Chris Messina, Sophie Thatcher, Vivien Lyra Blair, David Dastmalchian, Marin Ireland, Madison Hu, LisaGay Hamilton, and others.

"The Boogeyman" follows a 16-year-old high school student Sadie Harper and her little sister Sawyer, both still reeling from the death of their mother. Devastated by his own pain, their father Will, a therapist, gives them neither the support nor the affection that they try to claim from him.

They are targeted by a supernatural entity after a desperate patient shows up unexpectedly at their house asking for help, bringing in a terrifying entity that preys on the families and feeds on their greatest suffering.

The movie was shot in New Orleans in the winter of 2022 and is produced by 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Dan Cohen.
