Spanish Reports: Benzema Wants Real Madrid Return

On Monday, Spanish reports revealed that French forward Karim Benzema wants to make a Real Madrid return. 

The reports added that Benzema doesn't mind returning to Real Madrid, including the on-loan process to save his current football season.

In the same context, the Defensa Central outlet highlighted that Benzema regretted departing from Real Madrid, and his desire to return to the Royal Club looks to be impossible as the Saudi Al Ittihad won't allow the player to exit the club in the winter transfer window, adding that Real Madrid officials won't accept that.

The Spanish AS reported: "Benzema regrets it. Of course everyone does what they want, but making an exit from the game is important for top players. I remember that he had expressed his desire to finish his career at Real Madrid. He had the opportunity.

“He could have stopped by leaving through the front door, after having secured titles and winning the Ballon d’Or. He lost himself by joining an artificial championship."

Benzema faces harsh criticism due to his unexpectedly disappointing performance for Ittihad Jeddah fans, especially after the loss to Egypt's Al Ahly at the FIFA Club World Cup.
