The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) President Pedro Rochahas was suspended for two years by the Spanish Court of Arbitration in Sport, just two days after the Spanish National Football team with the 2024 Euro.
Rocha was also fined 33,000 euros for three "very serious infractions" carried out while he was the President of the RFEF Management Commission, according to the court.
One of these infractions was his decision to sack Andreu Camps as the RFEF Secretary General, while the other infractions were ending the contract of RFEF legal advisor, Tomas Gonzalez and presenting the RFEF as a private accusation in a corruption case related to his predecessor Luis Rubiales.
The RFEF should call for elections in two months to find a president for the federation.
Vice President, Maria Angeles Garcia Chaves will replace Rocha temporary and she will be the first woman to preside over the organization.
