On Friday, Italy head coach Luciano Spalletti announced the squad for the Azzurri's in their 2024/2025 UEFA Nations League quarter-finals.
They will face Germany in the final 8 of the tournament over two legs of the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals during the March international break.
Italy will host Germany in San Siro for the first leg on March 20, before travelling to Dortmund for the return leg at Signal Iduna Park a few days later on March 23.
Federico Dimarco was sidelined due to injury, and he was replaced by Atalanta left wing-back Matteo Ruggeri, who will make his national team debut in the upcoming match.
Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie is likely filling Dimarco’s absence.
Also earning a first call-up to the senior side is Torino midfielder Cesare Casadei.
Udinese striker Lorenzo Lucca has also been included.
