South Africa is set to welcome all leaders of the BRICS countries who will personally take part in the summit in August.
"We have confirmation that all leaders will attend the summit," Anil Sooklal, Sherpa of the Republic of South Africa in BRICS, told Sputnik.
Last March, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that no decision had been made yet regarding the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the BRICS summit in South Africa in August.
Algeria's President Abdelmadjid Tebboune recently affirmed that his country will join the BRICS economic group soon, as the block greenlighted Algeria’s membership.
Tebboune highlighted that Algeria's accession to the bloc in the first stage will be as an observer before it obtains full membership.
Moreover, the Algerian president stressed that the power of the people is not measured by military force, but rather by economic dominion.
He also underlined that the Algerian economy is witnessing growth and progress, as evidenced by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
