Spaniard Roberto Garcia Barondo, the coach of the Egyptian national handball team, decided to exclude the first star in the national team Ahmed El Ahmar due to an injury.
A source inside the Egyptian handball team revealed to Yallakora today, Wednesday, that the team's technical staff decided to rest El Ahmar due to a moderate back injury.
The Egyptian team is scheduled to open the Handball World Cup in Egypt, against the Chilean team, as part of the first round of Group G competitions.
The source indicated that El Ahmar will be present in the next North Macedonia team, which will be held next Saturday evening in the second round.
The Egyptian national team is in Group G that comprises of: the Swedish national team - the Chile national team and the North Macedonia team.
