One person was killed and two others were seriously injured as the Somali extremist "Al-Shabab" movement destroyed an airport in the center of the country.

Today, Sunday, the local Radio Dalsan website announced, "One person was killed and two were seriously injured, after Al-Shabaab destroyed an airport in the Hiran region in central Somalia."

For many years, Somalia has been witnessing a bloody conflict between the "Al-Shabab" movement, which adopts the ideology of "Al-Qaeda", and the forces of the central government in Somalia. The movement aims to control the country and rule it according to its strict interpretation of Islamic law.

The Somali army, along with the forces of Galmudug state, has been conducting military operations against the "Al-Shabab" militia for more than two months.
