Snapchat Streaks were in jeopardy with several users reporting that they were unable to successfully post story updates or send messages on the service for more than two hours.
The Snapchat Support Twitter account confirmed the issues on Wednesday, telling people "Wait a minute, we're looking into it!".
The source of the problem was not clear, but this does not appear to have occurred at the Facebook level. The app itself was still mostly working for some of us, and if you weren't trying to post, you might not have noticed an error right away. It also didn't crash constantly, which was an issue for Snapchat.
The Snapchat Support account on Twitter confirmed that the issue had been fixed, and everything is working well.
