Dutchman Arne Slot, manager of Liverpool FC, confirmed that Egyptian star Mohamed Salah will join the Egyptian national team on December 15th in preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Slot stated in the press conference for Liverpool's match against Sunderland that Mohamed Salah will travel to join the Egyptian national team participating in the Africa Cup of Nations on December 15th.
Regarding Mohamed Salah's reaction to not playing for Liverpool in the recent match against West Ham, the Liverpool manager explained, "It's a fair assumption that he's unhappy, and it's a natural reaction for a player who can play with us every week. Of course, a player isn't happy when he doesn't play, and he wasn't the only one."
He added, "His behavior was as you would expect from a professional like him. He was very supportive of his teammates and behaved very well. You can't play at that level every three days if you follow your emotions, but Mohamed Salah is very disciplined. He will always remain that great professional."
Slot spoke about the players' condition, saying: "Yesterday we had a recovery session and we will train today, so let's see how the players feel. Florian Wirtz has been out of training for a week and a half or two weeks. To play this many minutes was already a good thing for him."
