Sisi Hails Egypt-Kuwait Historic Ties

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Kuwaiti Emir Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al Sabah held an expanded session of talks, with the attendance of delegations from both countries, according to presidency spokesman Bassam Radi.

At the outset of the meeting, Kuwaiti Emir expressed appreciation for Egypt’s leadership and people, praising the county’s pivotal role in supporting Arab states’ security and stability, as well as its sincere efforts to promote Arab joint actions at all levels.

Moreover, he stressed on Kuwait's keenness to enhance distinguished bilateral relations between both countries in various fields especially, the economic and developmental ones, in the light of Egypt’s successful economic reforms.

On his part, President Sisi expressed happiness to visit Kuwait, hailing the deep and historic ties between both countries either at the official or popular levels.

Moreover, the Egyptian president valued Kuwait stable stances in supporting Egyptians’ will and current development efforts.  “The security of Gulf States and Kuwait is an integral part of Egypt’s national security,” Sisi emphasized.

In addition, he praised Kuwaiti efforts to reach political settlements for existing crises in the region, including: the Yemeni file.

The two leaders discussed investment opportunities in Egypt in light of the advantages and incentives offered by the new investment law. They also reviewed efforts to counter terrorism and agreed on enhancing security cooperation between the two countries.
