Sisi Tours Egypt's Int'l City for Olympic Games in New Capital

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected on Saturday several projects and construction sites in the New Administrative Capital, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement.

President Sisi's tour included Egypt International City for the Olympic Games, envisioned to be the largest full-service sports city across the Middle East.

Established as per the latest international standards and technical specifications, in coordination with the international sports federations concerned, the city hosts an international stadium accommodating 90,000 spectators and two indoor halls for 15,000 and 8,000 spectators, respectively.

It also includes fully-integrated Olympic sports complexes for various sports events, including swimming, equestrian, tennis, and squash tournaments.

The city's facilities also include a mosque for 500 worshipers, parking lots, and large green spaces that are in harmony with the city's activities.

Sisi asserted the need to complete the projects under construction in the new capital on time and under the best standards and specifications while strictly adhering to all anti-COVID-19 measures to ensure workers' safety.
