Sisi Tackles Cooperation with Germany's Lürssen

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi probed on Wednesday cooperation aspects with Germany's world leading shipbuilding company "Lürssen".

During a meeting with Peter Lürssen, owner and board chairman of the German shipbuilder, Sisi praised the level of cooperation with the German company, which is globally renowned for making state-of-the-art vessels, frigates and destroyers, according to a statement by Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.

Meanwhile, the company chief highlighted the promising direct investment opportunities in Egypt, especially in light of the Egyptian government's constant efforts to upgrade infrastructure and ensure a business-friendly environment.

Commander of the Naval Forces Vice Admiral Ahmed Khaled, Presidential Advisor for Financial Affairs Maj. Gen. Mohamed Amin and Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority Maj. Gen. Ahmed Al-Shazly attended the meeting along with two other naval commanders.

The two sides discussed cooperation in sharing modern shipbuilding technologies as well as technical training opportunities to improve the skills of Egyptian shipyard workers as per globally recognized specifications and quality requirements.
