Sisi Receives Sultan of the Indian Bohra Community Mufaddal Saifuddin

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Sunday with Sultan of the Indian Bohra community Mufaddal Saifuddin, and his sons Prince Jaafar Al-Sadiq, Prince Taha Mofaddal, and Prince Hussein Mofaddal.

Sisi welcomed the Sultan of the Indian Bohra community, stressing the firm historic relations between Egypt and the Bohra community. The President expressed profound appreciation for the role of Sultan of the Indian Bohra community Mufaddal Saifuddin in renovating and renewing the shrines of Al Al-Beit (the family of Prophet Mohamed PBUH) and several historical Egyptian mosques.Sisi Receives Sultan of the Indian Bohra Community Mufaddal Saifuddin

Those included the shrines of Al-Sayyida Nafisa, Al-Sayyeda Zainab and Sayyedna Al-Hussein. This came to integrate with the state’s current efforts to develop the areas near archeological sites and shrines in Fatimid and historic Cairo.

In this regard, Sisi also lauded the various charity activities carried out by the Bohra community in Egypt, in addition to their support of Tahya Misr Fund.

He underlined Egypt’s profound belief in the importance of dialogue among all peoples of the world with their various sects and ethnicities. Sisi also affirmed Egypt’s permanent openness to all religions and denominations, based on the history of the Egyptian people and their ancient civilization, as well as their understanding of the correct teachings of Islam.

Sisi reviewed the Government of Egypt’s efforts to enhance the principle of citizenship based on equality, peaceful co-existence, and freedom of choice and belief.

Sultan of the Indian Bohra community Mufaddal Saifuddin valued Egypt’s current trajectory, where it enjoys, under the leadership of Sisi, the freedom of practicing religious rituals and peaceful co-existence among all sects and denominations, which provides a stable environment of societal peace for all.

The Sultan of the Indian Bohra community commended the developmental achievements which have been realized in Egypt over the past years at the domestic level in the various fields. He also lauded Egypt’s effective role at the regional level, which was demonstrated recently by achieving a ceasefire agreement between the Palestinians and Israelis. This is in addition to Egypt’s initiative for the reconstruction of Gaza, in addition to its ongoing efforts to support reaching a political settlement for the Libyan crisis.
