Schulz also praised the Egyptian strategic decision to rely on fast trains for the transportation of citizens and the movement of goods, which will enhance Egypt's position and its commercial position regionally and globally and make it a pioneer in cutting-edge rail technology in the Middle East and the African continent.

On his part, Sisi affirmed that the new electric rail network comes as a consolidation of fruitful cooperation between Egypt and Germany in the field of infrastructure, and will represent a great addition to the transport system, marking the beginning of a new era for railways in Egypt, Africa and the Middle East.

Moreover, the Chairman of the International Siemens Company expresses his pride in the fruitful cooperation with Egypt in the development projects that made an honorable history for the company in the region and the world, pointing out that the high-speed electric train project in Egypt is the largest in the history of Siemens since its establishment 175 years ago.
